Toothache

Pain that throbs, wakes you up or hurts with hot and cold. Often the soft inside of the tooth is infected. A root canal cleans out that inside and seals it, so the pain stops and you keep the tooth.

Gums that bleed when you brush usually mean hard deposits, called tartar, are stuck along the gum line. A cleaning (scaling) scrapes them off; it takes one sitting.
